EA has come up with an overwhelming declaration for the esports
lovers of the country! Now Indian pro Apex Legends’ players can clash against
the regional beasts in the Asia-Pacific (APAC) South region to mark their
presence in the Global Series, a PC event along with online events!
With a prize pool of USD 3 million, ALGS will surely open doors for
many aspiring esports athletes. But to be the best; you have to beat the rest!
Similarly Indian pro players have to deal with the best in the region, LYNX TH,
they have simply decimated their opponents in the ALGS Summer version. LYNX TH
(89) was ahead by more than 30 points than the second placed DreamFire (56)
from the region.
However the growing esports contingent in India has started to bear
fruits now. It compelled Respawn and EA to allow Indian players to participate
in this global battle of supremacy.
Those, who will reach the Rank IV Gold on PC in Series 5 Split 1 by
October 1, 2020, will be eligible to register for the Autumn Circuit Online
Tournaments.
The Global Series will be comprised of 12 Live events and 10 online
tournaments. In the meantime there is always a chance of few changes here and
there that EA and Respawn might convey in the process.
There is another very popular title that our country is not eligible
for due to some unforeseen circumstances, that is, Fifa, yet another title by
EA. But with this decision the gamers around the country are really hopeful
about removal of restrictions on India’s eligibility in esports events. There
is no dearth of talent in the country, the only thing missing is the
opportunity. It might change from now on only!
