GTA 5 on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X in 2021

Sony announced Grand Theft Auto 5 will be coming to PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X in the ‘second half’ of 2021, making it one of the only games spanning over three generations of consoles!

Rockstar Games announced that an ‘expanded and enhanced’ Grand Theft Auto V will release in the second half of 2021 on the PS5 — eight years after its launch! And a new standalone GTA Online will be available for free on the PS5 exclusively for the first three months. GTA Online will also offer exclusive content for next-generation consoles, including the PS5!

Announced as part of the PS5 reveal event, Rockstar Games confirmed that all PlayStation Plus members on PS4 will get $1 million GTA$ every month they play GTA Online until GTA Online releases on PS5. This money will be deposited into gamers’ Maze Bank account within 72 hours after one logging in each time.

Sony and Rockstar have had a special relationship for many years. Sony announced the PS4 edition of GTA V during its E3 briefing in 2014. Before that, Sony announced an exclusive deal with Rockstar for the espionage game Agent, but that game was never released.

In the meantime, Rockstar is said to be working on GTA 6, but it presumably will not be released for some time. A recent report said it could launch in 2023 at the soonest!

It really doesn’t matter for the GTA lovers whether it’s GTA V or GTA VI, people just love the theme matter of the title!
