It was a persistent demand by the Fifa players of the country towards EA; and September 29, 2020, arrived with the greatest news for them. Rushan Sekhar, the League Operations Manager of Fifa Competitive Gaming Entertainment, released a Pitch Note on Fifa 21 Global Series and disclosed about the changes and new inclusions. The moment the name ‘India’ appeared on the Pitch Notes; it was nothing less than a great triumph for the gamers across the nation.
The other two new inclusions are Bolivia and Costarica. Now India will be participating in the Global Series from the region which has been renamed to ‘West Asia and South Africa’, previously it was ‘The Middle East and Africa’. Along with India other countries from this region will be Kuwait, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, United Arab Emirates. South Africa will have its individual qualifiers due to its geographical distance. However, they will be up against the players from West Asia for the regional playoffs. To be a part of this Global Series one must register in between October 9, 2020, till December 31, 2020. Thereafter an Elite 1 finish is mandatory for each and everyone with 27 or more wins in a weekend league. Anyone achieving this mark of 27 wins or more will get him the tag of a FUT Champions Verified Player that comes with additional benefits.
