F1 Mobile Racing Championship: The inaugural edition!

The game having released in November, 2018, it has made it to the biggest motorsport game on Android and iOS. Now Codemasters Software Company Ltd. is coming up with their inaugural edition of F1 Mobile Racing Championship this year. This is also the official game for 2020 FIA Formula One World Championship. 

The qualifying leagues after the latest update on September 17, 2020 have already started which will run through October and November. The top performing players from each monthly league will be participating in a 9 days’ Finale in the month of December, 2020. Those gamers, who will be completing 5 in game Esports challenges, are going to have the eligibility. 

However we shouldn’t be confused with F1 Esports Series which is a different event altogether by F1 Esports which comprises of four stages – Qualification, Challenger Series, Pro Draft and Pro Series. It is due to start in the month of October, 2020. And this year their prize pool looks quite sumptuous at $750,000! So we can at least expect a decent sum for the inaugural mobile Championship.

According to Julian Tan, Head of Digital Business Initiatives at F1 Esports, this is a step that is surely going to help spread the game among the younger generation as they spend a lot of time playing different mobile games. At the same time, F1 Mobile Racing is a free to download game and participation in the monthly qualifiers is free as well. So this is a great opportunity for F1 Mobile Racing developers to take giant strides in the gaming market.
