Since July 24, a new promo began to be teased for FIFA 20 called
‘Pre-Season’. At the moment EA Sports has not disclosed further
details, however we know that the event will be entitled Pre
Season and will begin at 6:00 pm on Wednesday 29 July!
From the new image released by EA, it can be deduced that
the new Pre-Season event will probably be linked to
the Champions League and Europa League to be held in
August.
This event is coming at an interesting time in the FIFA 20 life
cycle, since the July-August period is when things usually die down as players
get ready for the beta, demo, and full launch of the next title. However, FIFA
21 isn’t due to be released until October 6, a couple of weeks later than
usual, so this is clearly an effort from EA to keep users interested and
playing the current game a little longer, and what better way to do that than
by linking it to an upcoming event!
This EA has been quite intuitive about bringing on new promos or
events especially after pandemic! Somehow they have been trying to give an
equal chance to all level of players, so that they can grab more than decent
cards. As the season went by in Fifa 20, gamers started to complain hugely on
the rewarding aspect of the game; even the best in the game, Fnatic Tekkz said,
“Every single game on FIFA 20 is a 50/50, he’ll win this one, I will win the
next one. Because this year’s game is so unrewarding, anyone can win, guys who
aren’t good can win on FIFA 20.”
We can make an estimate how casual gamers might have felt through
the season when even the best is having a grudge against it! Keeping those
things in mind we should appreciate the way EA is trying to balance the game by
bringing on new promos and giving everyone the chance to get good cards into
their FUT squad. But the process should not stop as the new season is even
going to be bigger- the next-gen consoles!
